a very fine impression of New Hollstein’s first state (of seven), printing with clarity and rich burr, particularly on the curtain at left and the sitter’s cloak, and with dramatic contrasts, the highlights on the head of the sitter, the window and the shining disk accentuated by the pure white laid support 

sheet: 210 by 160 mm. 8¼ by 6¼ in.
