Patek Philippe produced the reference 5035 between 1996 and 2005 in yellow, white and pink gold in addition to platinum. This model represents an important milestone in the history of Patek Philippe as it was the first annual calendar wristwatch ever made.
The timepiece embarks the caliber 315, one of the Maison's most celebrated automatic calibres. This annual calendar upgraded movement allows the watch to keep track of the correct day and date throughout a full year without a need to set the watch. The annual calendar movements interestingly require more components than their perpetual calendar counterparts.
The present yellow gold example was manufactured in 1997 and bears a first series dial, identifiable with its thinner text font and flat-based seconds hand. The timepiece is offered with its original Certificate of Origin dated December 23, 1997 as well as its full documentation and presentation case.
