I often see them in different corners of the city, standing in different spaces and in different forms. The city is their final destination. There is always a trace of doubt in their eyes, about the inexplicable existence in this world, the fear of being the food on the human plate, and the expectation of freedom in nature.

ABOUT LIU YOUNIAN

Director Liu Younian was born in Taipei and now lives in Beijing. In 2004, he began to shoot "City Zoo" photography. He hopes that through these photos, he can give the tigers a voice before their quiet extinction.
