woodblock print, surimono, embellished with metallic pigments and embossing, from the series A Selection of Horses (Umazukushi), signed Fusenkyo Iitsu hitsu (Brush of Iitsu, from in his non-painting studio), privately issued for the Yomogawa Poetry Circle in 1822, poems by Hana no Miyako, Kayudo Kakusai and Shuchodo Monoyana
Surimono, shikishiban: 20.6 x 18.6 cm., 8⅛ x 7⅜ in.

Rising up
