Fliegend im Raum (Flying in space) was personally chosen by the artist for inclusion in the exhibition Hannah Höch. Ein Leben mit der Pflanze at the Städtisches Museum, Gelsenkirchen in 1978. This was the final exhibition she curated of her works before she died in May of the same year. The below sketch and note by Hannah Höch were made in preparation for the present work.
