The immense and rich history of Asian art has overtaken Sotheby's New York headquarters with eight auctions and selling exhibitions now on view. Extraordinary works of Ming porcelain, Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art and so much more are attracting collectors to six floors of exhibition space. In addition to six brick and mortar auctions, this year's Asia Week also features the selling exhibition Different Paths: Explorations in Ink on view through 24 March, as well as the department's first-ever online only auction, A Lyrical Line: Paintings and Drawings by Francis Newton Souza, open for bidding through 18 March.
