Catalogue Note

The watch shown here is quite clearly complicated and comes equipped with perhaps the most celebrated combination of horological complications, the perpetual calendar chronograph and minute repeater. What is more the repeating sounds a carillon, a chime producing three notes opposed to the usual two, adding yet another layer or intricacy. The dial is intricate yet clear, with subsidiary dials for date, day, month combined with leap year indication, and phases and age of the moon. The case in 18k yellow gold is also wonderfully balanced, the chronograph pusher the top of the case at 12, and the repeating slide at 6. The rear cover is engraved with a monogram 'MFD'.
