Condition
Very good condition overall. Chips, scratches, marks and abrasions throughout consistent with the object’s age and use within the culture. A couple of small insect holes scattered throughout. A large crack to the proper right side and subsequent chipping, and repair with a metal nail. Crack extends approximately 20cm down. Small modern hook for hanging on reverse of shield. Extensive wear due to age and use on two protruding extremities. Excellent preservation of the red pigment. Label bearing Elizabeth Pryce collection inv. no. EP-192 on reverse of shield.
