Condition

The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The dial is in good condition though the luminescence has faded significantly. There are some surface scratches to the glass. The bezel has scratches and the luminescent triangle has faded almost entirely and also has a small hole. The rest of the case has scratches throughout as it was most likely frequently used over time. The watch has not been tested to determine the accuracy of its timekeeping. Catalogue Note

The Autavia is the legendary driver's chronograph from the sixties. The name is a contraction of AUTomobile and AVIAtion. Created in 1962, this iconic model, still in production have become a beloved model by today's collectors. The present watch is a great example of an early two register Autavia with 30 minutes chronograph capacity from the first generation. The significant features are the oversized white sub-dials, dauphine hands and the turning bezel with 12 hours division.
