Condition
Overall good original condition. The glass presents with some light surface soiling throughout, mostly concentrated to the upper portion of the shade. The hand-painted decoration with some rubbing, flaking and losses, mostly concentrated to the snakes and partially visible on the catalogue illustration. The green snake with slightly more losses to the paint to the upper part, as visible in the catalogue illustration. A few areas of the green snake and large portions of the black snake have possibly been repainted in some isolated areas (please contact the department for further pictures). The lacquered metal elements with a few light scratches and rare tiny chips of lacquer. An expressive and charismatic unique object executed by Warhol for Teddy and Arthur Edelman.
