Catalogue Note

"The General Assembly of 1717 had instructed the Commission to take steps 'to get printing, vending, and importing of the incorrect copies of the Holy Scriptures stopped and prevented.' This edition is specially commended for its accuracy by Lee (Memorial, pp. 188–191); it contains, however, a misprint in Ps. liii l, 'on God for no God'" (Herbert)
