- The Marquess of Dalhousie proceeding in state to return the visit of the Maharaja Gulab Singh at Camp Wuzeerabad on the 27 December 1851
- Watercolour over pencil, heightened with bodycolour
- 470 by 657 mm.; 18 1/4 by 25 1/2 in.
Condition
The colours are well preserved in this work. The paper has discoloured a little and there are a number of areas of surface dirt, foxmarks and - at the extreme bottom edge of the sheet - some minor pigment loss.
