Description

  • each 184cm. high, 87cm. wide, 35cm. deep; 6ft. ½in., 2ft. 10in., 1ft. 1¾in.
in George III style, the upper section with swan-neck pediments over glazed doors enclosing adjustable shelves, the lower section with doors enclosing adjustable shelves, the sides mounted with brass lifting handles

Provenance

Possibly acquired by James Andrew Broun-Ramsay, Marquess of Dalhousie (1812-1860) for his time in India.

Condition

These are of a very attractive small size. Nice quality. Variations to carved flowerheads on swan neck pediments. Typical old marks and scratches (as to be expected). And some chips to extremities. Cracks to some glass panes on astragal glazed doors. Some shelves to lower cupboards. Lacking keys. One lock has a shooting bolt mechanism which is stuck.
