Condition
A very interesting and unusual piece of furniture in reasonable condition. The lacquer to the edge of the fall front next to the hinges has losses to either side as to be expected from use. The lacquer decoration has some minor losses but is in good secure condition. The panel to the fall front is particularly good with thick lacquer applied and still raised to the touch. The interior with removable compartments which are well made and original. The well to the centre which slides is stuck and may benefit form some light workshop attention. With some old marks and scratches commensurate with age and use.
