Condition
There is overall wear and chipping to polychromy on both Madonna and child with some worming throughout (visible in catalogue image). Losses due to worming on proper right side of throne and to edges on proper left side of throne. Losses to front of base around her proper right foot. Both of Virgin's hands and Child's proper right hand have been replaced. Some restoration to Child, particularly lower area of feet. Both crowns replaced. Age cracks. Some glue fill to one crack under child's foot and to side of drapery. Some losses due to worming on Child's knee and the back of Child's head. Polychromy refreshed throughout, perhaps in the 17th century and later. Overall stable and in otherwise good condition.
