Condition

The sheet is attached to the mount with one tab at each of the upper corners on the reverse. The left edge of the sheet is perforated, in keeping with the work having been taken from the Artist's sketchbook. The right edge of the sheet is folded underneath. There is a faint crease running the height of the sheet in the right half of the work. There is a crease in the upper right corner, and some further light creases and handling marks to the sheet in places, most apparent around the edges. There is a very tiny nick to the sheet towards the right side of the lower horizontal edge. There is some discolouration to the sheet, thought to possibly be as a result of a previous mount, which is most apparent around the right and lower edges of the work. There are some very small spots of foxing to the sheet, apparent upon close inspection. There is some light surface dirt and studio detritus to the sheet in places, including a spot in the upper left quadrant. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition. The work is window mounted and presented in a painted wooden frame, held under glass. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
