Designed as a scooter with movable front and rotating black jadeite wheels, the hinged seat embellished with a highly translucent intense emerald green jadeite plaque and pavé-set circular-cut diamonds, detailed by colourless jadeite cabochons, a russet jadeite plaque, blue chalcedony, green sapphires, citrines, diamonds and black diamonds, mounted in 18 karat blackened, white and yellow gold, signed MT, measurement approximately 89.00 x 54.00 x 32.00mm.
Condition
Please note that the wheels of the scooter are black jadeite and not onyx as stated in the text of the printed catalogue.
Accompanied by Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory certificate numbered SJ 154656, dated 1 August 2017, stating that the jadeite tested is natural, known in the trade as "A Jade". Please refer to the certificate for further details.
Signed MT for Mason Tsai, and stamped 750 for 18 karat white and blackened gold. All jadeite of highly translucent materials; one plaque of intense emerald green colour, under strong illumination, there are some typical clouds and a surface reaching internal fissure; one plaque suffused with brilliant russet streaks to the lighter background, under strong illumination, there are minor typical clouds and a few internal fissures; and three colourless cabochons with very good clarity, under strong illumination, there are a few specks of typical clouds; majority inclusions are not noticeable under normal lighting. Black jadeite wheels are opaque, one with a few streaks of white clouds.
Blue chalcedony of light blue colour and medium saturation. Gemstones estimated to weigh approximately 0.50 carat in total; one green sapphire of light saturation; four citrines of brownish orange colour and medium saturation; all are eye-clean, with some nicks and abrasions. Diamonds and black diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 2.60 carats in total; colourless diamonds are on average F to H colour and tinted diamonds of light yellow colour, mainly VS clarity; as gauged and graded in the mounting.
Signs of very little wear to the metal, overall in excellent condition.
