the rectangular screen with cusped corners enclosing a scene inlaid in the centre with jade depicting a scholar gazing at a tall floral bloom issuing from an archaistic vase, framed by a setting deeply carved with verdant wutong and pine trees, balustrades and ornamental rockery, the spandrels and aprons of the stand decorated with angular scrollwork
Condition
There are minute chips and bruises to the edges of the screen and stand, and other general surface wear. The jade vase and scholar have possibly been reattached at some point.
