Composed of tapered square links, gradually opening wider to reveal pavé-set round diamonds and arches set with square-cut diamonds, length 15½ inches, signed Feyhan; circa 1992.

Condition

In good condition, with surface scratches to the gold and very minor discoloration commensurate with wear. Signed Feyhan. Stamped 750 for white and yellow 18 karat gold. The diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of approximately 25.50 carats, are approximately H-I color, VVS-VS clarity. Gross weight approximately 140 dwts. Lies nicely on the neck when worn.

Catalogue Note

Viennese born and raised in Turkey, Feyhan Mutlu studied art and jewelry in Nice and Paris. Her unique and captivating designs led to her work being utilized by distinguished firms such as Helena Rubinstein and De Beers. She was also recognized in many international competitions. This 'Mirage' necklace, so named due to its reflective illusion of diamond fields, won the Diamonds International Award in 1992. The Diamonds International Contest focuses on the importance of diamonds in jewelry design and is one of the most prestigious competitions in the business.
