intricately carved in the round as a luohan seated in vajraparyankasana on a mat picked out with a 'basket-weave' design, the left hand placed gently atop an ankle in dhyanamudra, depicted adorned with a beaded bracelet and clad in loose robes with borders decorated with cloud scrolls and inlaid with hardstones, the expression rendered meditative with eyes cast downward, the stone of an opaque beige-white colour
Condition
Minute nicks to the extremities as can be expected. Some of the inlays have been refixed or replaced. The head has been broken off and carefully refixed to the body.
