Condition
Overall the condition of the wood is good, with some dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. A section of the architectural background on the proper left side is carved separately and a slightly open but stable joint is visible. There are a few small losses, including to Christ's proper right hand and a lost attribute, and to his terrasse in front of the proper right foot. There is some dark spotting to the wood, in particular to the legs. There is a small hole to Christ's stomach. A section of Christ's back is carved separately. There is some stable splitting to the wood consistent with the material, visible particularly to the architectural background on the reverse. There are two metal hooks to the back. The composition is mounted on a later wood board.
