Condition
Original canvas. The canvas appears sound. There is a very small repair patch visible to the reverse of the canvas in the lower right quadrant. There are stretcher lines apparent at both the upper and lower edges. There are some scattered lines of craquelure, including in line with the stretcher bar running horizontally across the width of the work in the centre, with one or two very tiny flecks of associated loss in places, only visible upon extremely close inspection. There is some rubbing to some of the impasto tips. There is some slight rubbing and wear to the edges and corners of the canvas, most apparent at the centre of the lower edge, due to the work being unframed. There are some scattered specks of surface dirt, studio detritus and matter. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
The work is unframed. There is tape around the outer edges of the canvas.
