Of twist design, set with calibré-cut rubies and brilliant-cut diamonds, the centre highlighted with a cabochon ruby, length approximately 370mm, signed Piaget, French assay and maker's marks.
Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin is required before the import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information.
Accompanied by SSEF report no. 84336, stating that the cabochon ruby weighing approximately 11 carats, measuring approximately 14.45 x 11.25 x 6.75mm, is of East African origin, with no indications of heating.
Signed Piaget, French maker's mark, French assay mark and stamped Or 750 for 18 carat gold. Cabochon ruby red of medium strong saturation, with typical surface reaching inclusions, nicks and small cavities; for further details on the central ruby, please refer to the SSEF report. Calibré-cut rubies well matched in colour, red of medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions and some abrasions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 12.00 - 14.00 carats, on average H-I colour, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Signs of normal wear to the metal. In very good condition.
