Diamond devant-de-corsage, early 20th century

Designed as an open work bow, set with circular-cut, cushion-shaped and rose diamonds, the central motif set with pear- and cushion-shaped diamonds, suspending a tassel set with similarly cut diamonds, fitted case stamped J. Chaumet; accompanied by later additional clip, signed Chaumet, numbered, French assay and maker's mark; and a later plastic hair comb with clip attachments, French assay and maker's mark; accompanied by two pouches stamped Chaumet.

Detachable into three sections. Central section with separate detachable brooch pin and screw driver. Diamonds bright and lively with mixed colours and clarities, estimated approximately 15.00-20.00 carats in total, estimated colour and clarity approximately K-M, SI to I (included) on average. Case with some minor scuff marks to edges and frayed silk to hinge on interior.
