Description

  • Height 13 in. 33 cm.
wearing a tripartite wig with stripes alternating in black and traces of gilding, the idealized face with full lips rounded at the corners, slightly upturned nose, and large eyes with long delicate finely-arched eyebrows and cosmetic lines painted in remains of Egyptian blue, remains of polychrome on the neck and ears.

Condition

As shown and described; what remains is in good condition. Note chip on nose and wear on the rims of the ears. The back of the mask and front of the wig show old insect damage. A small slightly loose piece at top center of the wig has recently been stabilized. Along with the Komor label on the back, there is an old red circular label with the number 10, and traces of an older rectangular label underneath it.
