Condition
The linen support has a thin relining which is stable and retains some bounce. The rather grey paint surface is in keeping with a 16th-Century distemper: there are several scattered losses and some abrasion throughout. The overall effect, however, is still impressive and the pastiglia is mostly still well preserved. Overall in fair condition for a distemper from the 16th century.
