Condition
There is some minor oxidation at the base of the U-shape around the light socket. Otherwise the work appears in very good original condition.
LED lighting is built in so access to electricity would be a good idea for optimum display.

Catalogue Note
This sculpture is the artist's personal tribute to Seamus Heaney and was inspired by the poet's words which are engraved on the plinth:
History says, Don't hope
On this side of the grave,
But then, once in a lifetime
The longed-for tidal wave
Of justice can rise up,
And hope and history rhyme.
