Condition

This work is in good condition overall. There is evidence of light wear and handling along the edges. The colors are bright and fresh. Close inspection reveals some small scattered media accretions possibly inherent to the artistÂ’s method of production and some faint scattered abrasions throughout. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there are pinpoint areas that fluoresce darkly in the lower right quadrant and along the right lateral edge that appear to have benefitted from minor retouching. There are also 2 vertical lines along the bottom edge that appear to have benefitted from some retouching. Framed.

"Looking at some flowers in the garden–how can I get the feel of those colors, of the flower colors, the nice smell and everything?...I'm not painting flowers. I'm painting the essence, the feeling to me only." Jack Bush
