This painting is in remarkable condition. The canvas is unlined, and the stretcher is probably original. No cracking or instability has developed. The painting is clean and lightly varnished. This is a rarely seen perfectly preserved picture from the period, in what appears to be its original frame. It seems that the only restoration in the center of the bottom edge.
