Important gem set and diamond demi-parure

Comprising: a necklace composed of clusters of ruby beads, highlighted with cushion-shaped, circular-, single-cut and rose diamonds, suspending a tassel capped with cushion-shaped and circular-cut rubies, embellished with drop-shaped and round natural pearls, interior length approximately 570mm; and a pair of ear clips.

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece contains rubies of Burmese origin and therefore cannot be imported into the US. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 72676, stating that the rubies on the necklace were found to be of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating, and that due to the setting, only approximately 95% of the rubies were tested. Additionally accompanied by SSEF report no. 72672, stating that five pearls were found to be natural, saltwater. According to the SSEF report, the rubies measure from approximately 3.05 x 3.40 x 2.50 mm to approximately 11.85 x 11.95 x 6.40 mm, they are purplish red to pinkish red of medium strong saturation, for further information please refer to the report; few beads are broken and glued, with typical crystal inclusions, some surface reaching; rubies on ear clips of similar colour and quality. According to the SSEF report, the five pearls tested measured from approximately 8.40 x 8.45 mm x 11.70 mm to approximately 9.05 x 9.30 x 10.85 mm, slightly cream to light cream body colour, with rosé and green overtones, for further information please refer to the report; necklace contains 23 drop-shaped and 11 round pearls, the round pearls measuring from approximately 5.45 mm to 5.70 mm, overall with good skin and lustre, rosé and green overtones, some blemishes and growth marks. Diamonds on necklace estimated to weigh a total of approximately 40.00 - 50.00 carats, diamonds on ear clips estimated to weigh a total of approximately 6.00 - 9.00 carats, of mixed colours and clarities. Clasp secure on necklace and clips secure on ear clips. Signs of normal wear and tarnish to the metal consistent with age and use. In good condition. Total gross weight of necklace and ear clips approximately 366 grams.
