Condition
Canvas is lined and the edges are reinforced with tape. The surface retains a very rich and textured impasto. There is a small area of flaking at the lower left corner and prior frame abrasion is visible around the extreme perimeter. Under UV light strokes of inpainting are visible around the perimeter to address prior frame abrasion. There are also scattered strokes throughout the sky, particularly in two vertical lines through the center of the sky as well as one vertical line which extends through the lower half of the canvas. There are also two nailhead-size retouches at center of left edge and a 1 inch area at the center of lower left quadrant. Overall the work is in fair condition.
