Catalogue Note

Known as the ‘piccolino’ by collectors, and with a diameter of 30mm, the ref. 3055 is characterized by its small size. Indeed, when the model was launched by Rolex in the 1930s, it was advertised as the world’s smallest chronograph. Two versions of the ref. 3055 were made: the first version from the 1930s featured olive shaped pushers; the second version appeared after the Second World War with rectangular pushers.
Reference 3055 is illustrated in Gobbi P., I Cronografi Rolex - La Leggenda, Pucci Papaleo Editore, pp. 108 – 111.
