Description
- Coral, turqoise, silver
the rounded ovoid body inlaid on each side with jade plaques carved in relief with fruiting peach branches and bats, one end set with a long tapering spout issuing from the mouth of a makara, opposite an elaborate handle linked by a chain to the domed cover, surmounted with a mandarin duck jade finial, all raised on a pedestal foot and embellished with gilded lion-masks and chilong, coral and hardstones (2)
Condition
The silver is tarnished and there is expected wear overall. There are scattered minor chips to the edges of the plaques and there is glue visible around the edges. The chain has been off and reattached with a metal wire ring to the handle.
