Exhibited

London, Alex. Reid & Lefevre Ltd, Catalogue of New Paintings by the East London Group, 1932, cat. no.85.

Condition

Sound board. On extremely close examination there are fine horizontal lines of paint cracking across the composition and some frame abrasion at the extreme edges of the board with corresponding surface matter from the frame. There is a layer of light surface dirt across the paint surface. With the exception of the above the work appears to be in very good condition. Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of florescence or retouching. The painting is presented in a gilded frame.
