Ravissante édition, ornée de 23 illustrations hors texte par Gravelot, qui sont "parmi les plus jolies que ce maître ait produites" (Cohen 687), gravées par Baquoy, Legrand, Le Mire..., d'un titre par Gravelot répété dans chaque volume, et d'un portrait par Cochin gravé par Saint-Aubin.



Sur papier de Hollande, en premier tirage avec l'errata.



Superbe exemplaire dans une reliure à dentelle aux armes de Gabriel de Sartine (OHR 74). De la bibliothèque du baron de Launoit (ex-libris armorié).
