Good condition overall. Wear consistent with age and use within the culture. A crack to the front of the pulley as visible in the catalogue illustration. Thick encrusted patina. Nice old indigenous basket ry repair to the neck.

La tension des courbes et l'élan prodigieux du cou - marqué par une superbe et très ancienne restauration indigène - portent à son paroxysme l'expression de la beauté en pays Guro. Voir A.F.A.A. (1989, p. 49, n°5) pour une statue parée de la même ancienne coiffure asymétrique.
