The emerald-cut sapphire weighing 31.34 carats, flanked by two baguette diamonds weighing approximately 1.00 carat, size 6, signed John Rubel & Co., numbered 4690; circa 1947.

Condition

In good condition, with some minor wear on the shank commensurate with age. The sapphire is a lively, richly saturated medium slightly violetish blue, lightly included. The diamonds are approximately H-I color, VS clarity. Purchased September 5, 1947. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 53848 stating that the sapphire is of Classic Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.
