Condition

Both of these panels are on single pieces of wood which are flat, beveled, and stable. They are both un-cradled and in a healthy state of preservation. The paint layers too are in quite good state. They both are covered by discolored yellow varnishes which are plainly visible to the naked eye. Under UV, no major repairs at all are visible. A little bit of scuffing from old frames is visible in both works along the top edges, but this is not significant and has not damaged paint layer. No retouches are visible beneath the varnish but overall they appear to be in very healthy condition. With a cleaning and fresh varnish they will brighten up considerably and should be ready to hang. In carved gilt wood frames.
