Condition

The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration although the overall tonality is lighter in the original. The work is executed on its original canvas and is not relined. The canvas is a bit loose. A few thin cracks are only visible under very close inspection. Two tiny losses of paint are only visible under very close inspection: - one (less than 0,1 cm) located 34 cm from the lower edge and 12 cm from the left edge. - one (approx. 1,5 cm) located 30 cm from the upper edge and 0,5 cm from the left edge has been carefully restored. A pinhead sized dot of oxidation located 31 cm from the lower edge and 19 cm from the right edge is only visible under very close inspection. This work is in very good condition.
