Condition

The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration although the overall tonality is lighter in the original. The work is executed on its original canvas and is not relined. Some remnants of wax are visible on the reverse of the canvas. A few scattered hairline cracks are only visible under very close inspection. Are only visible under very close inspection, two minor losses of paint (less than 0,1cm each): - one located 2,5 cm from the right edge and 31 cm from the upper edge - one located 2,5 cm from the right edge and 40,5 cm from the upper edge. Under UV light, some minor dots of careful retouching fluoresce : - one located 3 cm from the right edge and 7 cm from the lower edge - one located 2,5 cm from the right edge and 5,5 cm from the upper edge and some tiny others located along the upper, right and left edges, all due to frame abrasion. This work is in very good condition.
