of cylindrical form raised on three short ruyi feet, finely cast and parcel-gilt decorated around the exterior with a broad band enclosing a continuous landscape scene, depicting Shou Lao enthroned on a rocky platform above foaming waves in the Daoist mountain paradise, flanked by an immortal and crane on a celestial ruyi-head cloud, with further rocky outcrops with figures, deer and trees evoking longevity, all reserved on a dense diaper ground and between silver-wire inlaid keyfret and floral bands at the rim and base, the base with an apocryphal Xuande mark in silver wire
