Condition

There are some very minor chips to the footrim. There is a very minor burst airbubble/glaze fault in the center at approx 10 o'clock.

Catalogue Note

Howard, 1974, Vol. I, p. 209, no. D2 illustrates a plate from this service made for Sir William Yonge. It is interesting to note that another almost idential service, but for an additional crest at the rim,  was made circa 1731, also for Sir William Yonge, after he inherited the baronetcy from his father.
