Condition

Overall in very good condition. The hand-wrought copper surfaces retain their original patina, with light surface scratches, gentle rubbing to the patina, and scattered surface soiling consistent with age and use. There are some scattered tiny paint drips to the surfaces throughout, and some isolated small spots of light surface oxidation. The wrought iron handles with light surface wear and discoloration consistent with age and use. The bottom base plate with two small irregular holes from wear (1/4 x 3/16 inch; 1/8 x 3/16 inch), and a few small stress fractures around the perimeter edge (all of which appear stable). All of the rivets are intact and undisturbed. The interior with surface soiling, discoloration, oxidation, and corrosion. A beautiful example of the model, displaying superb hand-hammering and a rich brown patina. A very sculptural object with great presence.
