Condition

This sculpture is in very good condition. White alabaster dust and powder, from the process of execution, has settled in various crevices and depressions. There is a tiny little chip on the sharp edge of the inner rim, located approximately 5 inches to the left of the bottom center-point of the rim. There are two small fills, probably from the time of execution, which appear milky white and are smoothly polished to match the surface, located as follows: in the upper left quadrant, 4 1/8 to 4 ½ inches from the top and 6 – 6 ¼ inches to the left of the center of the work – and on the lower right inner rim, approximately 5 ¾-6 inches right of the bottom center-point.
