Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the paper tone is warmer and creamier in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. It is taped at intervals to the silk-lined backing board, and all four extreme edges are deckled. There are a few isolated spots of foxing visible upon close inspection to the paper around the reclining figure. The paper has slightly yellowed in places, in particular along the bottom edge, where it is slightly undulating. Some extremely light dirt has adhered to the protruding fibres of the paper surface in a few isolated places. There is an extremely faint flattened crease (approximately 4 cm. long) beneath the signature in the bottom right corner.
