The profile of the back probably altered to accommodate the needlework. Repaired breaks to legs. Associated needlework partially 18th century.
Condition
Associated needlework with some losses and restorations, the front and back legs with foliate carving, the back right leg with old repaired break and with a crack, some infilling and plugs, back center leg with restored bracket, back left leg with old repaired crack, each bracket with an infilled plug, formerly fitted with casters, some old worm to seat rails, some blocks replaced, some wear and chips to carving, overall with some old marks, scratches scuffs and bruises consistent with age and use.
