cal.152 rhodium plated lever movement, 20 jewels, free-sprung mono-metallic balance • dial pavé set throughout with brilliant cut diamonds, baguette diamond numerals at the quarters, gilt hands • 18k gold case, 56 baguette rubies set to outer bezel with trapezium shaped diamond divisions, 72 square cut diamonds channel set to the inner bezel, 56 square cut diamonds around the band, diamond set bow, ruby cabochon winding crown, estimated approximate diamond weight: 24 carats, movement signed and numbered

Condition

Manual winding movement running while cataloguing. Hands on double-dial move simultaneously through the crown to indicate 24-hours on 2nd dial. Bright and lively diamonds, rubies are well matched in body colour. Case with signs of light wear, but overall appears in very good condition.

Catalogue Note

The current lot, together with the two that follow, represent three from a set of four magnificent gem set watches which were undoubtedly ordered by one of Blancpain's most important clients. Each watch features approximately 24 carats of diamonds beautifully set on their two sides and are enhanced with either baguette rubies, emeralds or sapphires. The dials show to the one side time in 12 hours, whilst on the other time is registered in 24 hours.
