Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the tonality of the gold is deeper and richer in the original. The illustration fails to fully capture the concave nature of the sculpture. Condition: This work is in very good condition.

Catalogue Note

Anish Kapoor first exhibited at the ICA as part of the landmark
exhibition Objects and Sculpture, 1981, which also included Richard
Deacon, Antony Gormley and Bill Woodrow amongst others, and
which launched a highly inventive generation of British sculptors.
Kapoor donated a work to the ICA auction in 1990.

For the ICA's 60th anniversary auction Kapoor has made a special
edition of a wall-mounted crescent form originally created in 2005.
The work is cast in bronze while the interior is lacquered in red, and
polished to a highly reflective surface – creating a powerfully
organic effect.
