Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is deeper and richer in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. The sheet is hinged to the backing board in all four corners. All four edges are deckled and there is some slight undulation throughout the sheet. There are artist's pinholes in all four corners. There are two very light media accretions to the lower left of the lower right quadrant, both visible in the catalogue illustration, and a few light shallow creases to the lower left and right quadrants and to the right of the sitter's head, inherent to the artist's working process.
