Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is deeper and richer in the original. Condition: This work is in good condition. There is minor wear to all four corner tips and in a few places to the extreme turnover edges. There are a few scattered matrices of fine craquelure, the majority to the left side of the canvas. There are several small media losses: to the left side of the upper edge, two to the left extreme turnover edge, a number of isolated losses to the lower left quadrant and to the lower part of the left extreme edge, and a few further tiny losses elsewhere. No sign of restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
